Customer Case: Coffee Sachet Line for a Latin American Roaster

A specialty coffee roaster in Latin America came to Link Machinery with a clear goal: pack 12-gram coffee sachets faster and more consistently than hand filling. With 30 years of manufacturing experience, we designed a complete sachet line around their roast profile and packaging budget.

The Challenge

The roaster sold through local shops and grocery chains, and demand kept growing. Hand filling limited them to a few thousand sachets a day, with noticeable weight differences between packs.

The Solution

• An automatic sachet machine with auger dosing for ground coffee
• Nitrogen flushing to protect aroma and extend shelf life
• Print mark registration for their existing pre-printed film

The Results

Output rose to tens of thousands of sachets per day with one operator. Weight accuracy improved to within one percent, and give-away dropped sharply. The roaster now supplies more stores without hiring extra staff.

Why It Worked

We tested the line with the customer’s own coffee before shipment, so start-up at their plant took days, not weeks. Local service partners and remote support keep the line running.
