Customer profile: a growing wood pellet fuel producer packing premium heating pellets for the domestic and export market. The project shows how the right packing machine configuration removes manual bottlenecks.
Manual bagging of wood pellets was slow, dusty and inaccurate. Two operators per shift filled 25 kg bags by hand, with bag weights varying by more than 0.5 kg and output capped at roughly 150 bags per hour. Labor costs were climbing, and inconsistent bag weight created complaints from retailers.
Link Machinery supplied a complete automatic granule bagging line: an in-feed hopper with vibratory feeder, a precision electronic weigher and a vertical bagging machine with heat sealing and date coding. The line runs 25 kg and 50 kg wood pellet bags with fully automatic filling, sealing and counting.
“We doubled our production capacity without adding staff. The weighing accuracy is excellent, and the machine is simple to operate,” said the plant manager. The line paid for itself within the first season of operation.
Link Machinery provides complete granule and pellet bagging solutions with engineering support from design to commissioning.
